This prototype heavy laser rifle was developed by the Japanese Army after the events of World War III as part of the preparation for the 2020 Olympics. This particular model was used in part to defeat Prime Minister Tetsuo Shima after the events leading to the New Tokyo Empire circa 2019. Extremely powerful, it has been known to be able to cut through dense material such as steel and concrete with ease. It also has a laser sighted scope on its side that could directly link to the defense satellite SOL, before it was destroyed.
Shout out to fans of Akira as I am sure you recognize this gun. The majority of my reference was from the Manga which has a slightly different design than the anime, Modeled completely in Moi3d, rendered in Keyshot with post in nuke/photoshop.
