I created this project as a way to explore Unreal Editor in comparison to other offline render solutions. Seeing how I could adapt it to my current VFX workflow and was very pleased with the experience and the result.

Oni are a type of demon, orc, ogre, or troll in Japanese folklore and are commonly portrayed in Japanese Noh theatre. I sculpted the mask and other assets in Zbrush, using Mari and substance painter for texture. All lookdev and effects were done in engine using VBDs and the Niagara particle system. Its been a fun learning experience and I'm happy to be able to share it here with all of you.

Thanks.

Software Used: Unreal 5.31, Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter, Mari, Premire Pro.
